Requena Typeface (Work in progress)
Requena is a tribute to the first documented appearance of a sans serif typeface, dated around 1816 and attributed to William Caslon. Unlike other innovative styles of the time, the sans serif was not immediately successful, and no other foundry released one of this type during the next decade. It was not until the late 1820s and early 1830s that sans serifs began to become popular among British foundries.
Inspired by this legacy, Requena focuses exclusively on capital letters and offers two versions: one standard and one with rounded edges.
This typeface is still a work in progress.
